Asier Garitano appointed as Real Sporting’s new head coach

Real Sporting has officially announced the appointment of Asier Garitano as their new head coach, replacing Rubén Albés. He has signed a deal running until June 2026.

Garitano brings a wealth of experience in both LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION, having previously managed CD Leganés, Real Sociedad, Deportivo Alavés, and CD Tenerife.

Garitano is set to make his debut on the bench for the Asturian side this Sunday at 18:30, when Sporting visit CD Eldense at the Nuevo Pepico Amat.

In an official statement, Real Sporting expressed their enthusiasm about Garitano’s arrival, adding: “We wish him a warm welcome to our city and every success in this new chapter as Sporting’s head coach.”
